Is my crisis important enough?

What age range of children does Vanessa Behan care for?

Vanessa Behan can care for children ages birth through six years old, and children ages 7-12 on a case-by-case basis.

How much do services cost?

Nothing! All of our services are free of charge.

Can I make an appointment ahead of time for childcare?

If you know you may need assistance the day before an appointment, meeting or whatever other situation you are going through, please contact Vanessa Behan. Typically our staff are able to schedule childcare appointments 24 hours in advance. While care is not always guaranteed our staff will do their best to ensure you and your child(ren) receive the support you need to keep your children safe!

How long can my child stay?

Vanessa Behan is here when you need it. With your first request, you can place your child with us for a few hours, up to 72 hours. (Typically, longer placements are scheduled 24 hours at a time so we can stay in contact with parents/guardians)

If your crisis is still not resolved or more time is needed, parents and guardians can call to put in an extension request. Extension requests aren’t guaranteed – we will call you back to confirm extensions if room is available.

When are intake appointments?

At any time. We do our best to work with you and the time you have. With the amount of requests and scheduling needs to meet, we may not be able to get you in at the exact time you request. Rest assured, our Family Support Staff will do their best to ensure you and your child(ren) receive the support you need to keep your children safe!
